    Hi,

    I notice Josh has dosbox telnet on breakintochat. I'm trying to run a vintage bbs on dosbox and it works. It doesn't seem to access the modem.

    How should I set the serial in dosbox?

    I have a tutorial for setting up terminal programs (like Telix or Telemate) under DOSBOX here:

    This tutorial is 13 years old, but I think the broad strokes are still correct. Look at the steps for how to configure DOSBOX's virtual serial ports. I think that's what you would need to do to get your BBS working.

    Now, if that doesn't do it, unfortunately I don't think I can help much more. I'm not a DOS expert. But, thankfully, there are quite a few DOS experts across the BBS scene. If you post a message in one of the relevant Dovenet subs here, you're sure to get some help.
